Barbara Welch, a financial and business professional since 1990, directs the company The Good Life Financial Education Co. LLC. She served as Officer and Branch Manager for Old Kent
Bank & Trust Co. from 1990-1997 and became a licensed financial
professional in 2001. Barbara has also been an entrepreneur since graduating from college in 1990. Barbara holds a Master of Science degree from the College for Financial Planning, Greenwood, CO and a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree from Howard University in Washington D.C.
The Good Life Financial Education Company was established upon the success of the Good Life Workshop™ in 2001 which was developed as the result of Barbara’s professional experiences in the financial services industry, and passion for the field of financial literacy and business.
As a financial educator, Barbara leverages her education, professional and personal experiences to assist others achieve the good life, by providing programs that help people of all ages learn personal finance and business keys, explore their goals, understand how to put their money where their values are and learn how to create additional income streams by starting a business. Her motto is ‘It’s your life, make it good!” and her programs have helped hundreds of people define their ideal of the good life and learn how to make it a reality.
As a Financial Educator, Barbara offers both personal finance and entrepreneurship training and coaching to encourage people to succeed. In addition to providing coaching and training
services--she is a frequent guest presenter for conferences and civic organizations.
Barbara resides in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area with
her husband Skot and their two children, Brandon and Brooks.
